Edinburg police dog goes missing on New Year’s Eve

Edinburg police reported at 2:27 p.m. that Rasco has been found.



The Edinburg Police Department said on Facebook Sunday that one of its K-9s went missing on New Year’s Eve.

Police said the dog, known as Officer Rasco, went missing at 8:30 p.m. and was last seen in the area of Monmack and Chapin roads.

The dog is a Belgian Malinois, weighs 70 pounds, is 7 years old and is brownish with black on top.
