LETTER:ERCOT members inspire questions

I moved to the Valley more than 12 years ago. I love Texas, except for the good-old boys and their politics.

Can someone explain to me how the state paid Bill Magness, CEO of ERCOT, $876,000 and five committee members who didn’t even live in Texas but were paid in excess of $80,000 each to be on a committee that met maybe twice a year and did absolutely nothing for their salaries? Exactly where do I go to apply for one of those jobs? Or which good-old boy should I be rubbing shoulders with?

In the meantime, our Governor Abbott appears to have made a bet with the governor of Missouri as to who can kill off the most residents of their respective state with the COVID-19 virus by totally ignoring advice from the experts.
