LETTER: Rising gasoline prices

Maximilien Robespierre, “The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them ignorant.”

What I’ve seen in my lifetime is that Americans, and it doesn’t matter how well “educated” they may be, know little to nothing about the real world. America has long been an oligarchy, a nation ruled by wealthy elites such as H.W. and G.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and John McCain, all elites who were from different political parties but the same “club”. Americans have no idea that’s the case. In my opinion, Obama, who came from virtual obscurity, was “groomed” and then promoted by the oligarchy-owned media to represent the elites of the world as POTUS.

The “Rising demand for gas” article in the March 17 VMS began with, “Enjoying the cheap gasoline during an economic downturn is a guilty pleasure…The flipside is that when the economy gets better and gas prices go up again we shouldn’t complain too much…”

The crux/intent of the article was clear, don’t blame Dear Leader China Joe Xiden, for rising gasoline and energy prices. No where did the article mention Dear Leader, the puppet president of globalist elites, being responsible for the spike in gas prices because he revoked the Keystone pipeline permit and because he temporarily froze new oil and gas leases on federal lands with executive orders on his first day in office or his stated opposition to fossil fuels.

The economy did take a dive after the China originated COVID-19 pandemic strangled it, but throughout his term, Donald Trump did all he could to help America’s working class by trying to slow the cheap labor invasion of future DemocRATS at the southern border by doing everything he could to keep America energy independent and by doing all he could to keep the price of crude and the price of gasoline affordable for the average American. That in turn made Trump an enemy of the globalist billionaires who are heavily invested in renewable energy.

The proof: on 8/28/2019, crude was $56.71 a barrel; wholesale unleaded was $1.68 a gallon and gas locally was $2.159 a gallon. On 12/6/2019, the prices were $59.20 for crude, $1.65 for wholesale unleaded and $2.059 for gas. Before the pandemic and with the unemployment rate at 3.4%, on 1/17/2020, crude sold for $58.54 a barrel; wholesale unleaded was $1.64 a gallon and gas was $2.159 at the pump locally.

Since the inauguration of Dear Leader, the price of gasoline is rapidly approaching $3 a gallon in most states. According to AAA, the average price for regular gas in California was $3.878 a gallon on March 21. That’s a direct result of California having the highest gasoline tax in America.
