LETTER: Why close Keystone?

Aside from the tens of thousands of direct and indirect jobs it would have created, the Keystone pipeline would have made energy less expensive for all Americans not only at the pump but for heating, cooling, cooking and in the manufacture and distribution of all products, making absolutely everything cheaper.

It is a safer way to transport oil because trains and trucks have frequent accidents. It is better for the environment because unlike trains, trucks and freighters it emits zero pollutants. It would make us less dependent on the Middle East and unfriendly states like Russia, Venezuela and China.

Can someone please tell me one negative thing about the pipeline and why Biden would cancel it while supporting the one in Afghanistan benefiting the Taliban?
