LETTERS: Bill relief requested

Without a doubt, a significant percentage of our population will be facing hard times, owing to the COVID-19 virus and related emergency requirements imposed by state and local authorities. Consequently, it occurred to me that the Brownsville Public Utilities Board could very well help out in this regard by using the never-utilized money raised for a never-to-be-built Tenaska power plant to reduce utility bills that for many citizens will represent a significant hardship during this unprecedented challenge we are all facing.

How about it, PUB? This could be a significant opportunity for you to step up to the plate and show some civic spirit. And, just maybe, the sum, which we are told reaches nearly $100 million, could be put to good use.
