SAN BENITO — The city’s Economic Development Corporation is teaming up with Matamoros officials to help a Mexican high-tech manufacturing company bring “many” good-paying, high-skilled jobs to town, an official said.

HARLINGEN — After about five months on the block, Valle Vista Mall is landing its biggest tenant in years, planning to re-open the sprawling storefront that once housed its flagship retailer.

A tire and auto shop is scheduled to be completed this December in the city of Mercedes.

This fall, there will be a new coffeehouse chain ready to serve McAllen.
