Brownsville teases arrival of new aerospace firm

Brownsville city leaders will announce on Thursday the arrival of a new Aerospace company to the city. The announcement will be made at the Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport.

The company specializes in vertical take-offs and landings. The company is bringing cutting edge technology that will help the environment, improve public safety, and create jobs in Brownsville, city officials stated in a press release.

Brownsville Mayor Trey Mendez also shared the announcement on his Facebook page.

“The aerospace industry is one of the Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation’s target sectors as we build up our NewSpace and aerospace manufacturing ecosystem,” said Helen Ramirez, Executive Director & CEO of the Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation (GBIC) and Deputy City Manager. “We will release the name of the company along with information regarding its future plans during the press conference.”
