Don’t expect good bills from Republican House

Trump announces he’s running for president. Here we go again, Trump once again out to fleece his gullible cult members of millions in donations. Like the last time he raised millions for his campaign, it’s reported that he personally kept the majority of the money. Even Fox was asking what happened to that money.

Surprise, surprise, the con man is up to his favorite game, fool the gullible, the uninformed, the ignorant and get millions for it. These people want a president who tried to overthrow the U.S. government and who is above the law. This is proof that they are not American patriots, but cult members of a false patriot.

Now with a Republican majority in the House of Representatives we can look forward to legislation that will address the border issue. We can expect legislation from the House to address crime in America. They complained about inflation over and over in their campaign speeches, now they can do something about it. These are the major issues Republican candidates ran on. They repeated these accusations over and over, pointing the finger at Democrats.

Wrong. The Republican majority has forgotten about the border, about crime, about inflation. They are offering nothing to improve the lives of Americans.

In their initial news conference they announced their plans. They plan to impeach President Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Alejandro Mayorkas and others in the Biden administration. They also plan to investigate the Biden family. Marjorie Greene is planning to investigate the Department of Justice for arresting the traitors who attacked our Capitol. They want to defend the criminals who were chanting “Hang Mike Pence” and were threatening to kill other members of Congress. This crazy idea reveals whose side these MAGA Republicans are on: They want to defend the insurrectionists who tried to destroy the American government. How is that an indication of Republican Party patriotism by their leadership? Their main purpose is revenge, not govern, not serve the country.

One of the main reasons we have come to this pathetic point in our government is gerrymandering. Politicians have designed districts to give them an unfair advantage in elections that is not a true reflection of the will of voters. An example of this anomaly is House District 15 in South Texas. The larger amount of votes came from counties north of the Rio Grande Valley. So the elected candidate was not the choice of the majority of the Rio Grande Valley counties. Some of the people who get elected because of gerrymandering are crazies like Marjorie Greene. Her only goal is revenge and destruction of political opponents. She has nothing constructive to offer for the country.

Now that Republicans are in control of the House of Representatives they have forgotten about the issues they ran on. Where are their plans to address the border, immigration and inflation? Oh, I get it, it was just more typical Republican BS to fool their supporters.

I hope I’m wrong and these Republicans will actually propose legislation and try to improve life for all Americans. But if you look at history, Republicans have always promised things and when in office they forget their promises. For example, they have been promising affordable health care for all Americans, something every other developed country on the planet has. Republicans have promised this since 2008 when Barack Obama was president. Where is it? It was never even proposed by them in the last 23 years. It was just another empty promise to fool their voters.

I’ll be waiting for proposals from Republicans in the House to address inflation, the border and crime. I hope I’m surprised, but I’m not holding my breath.
