Bottom line, the word for the Department of Public Safety and Uvalde Police Department in not going in to kill the gunman is cowards. No excuse — They ran from the line of fire.
They heard the gunman’s multiple bullets slaughtering the children and teachers; they stood there and did nothing! It was when the gunfire stopped firing that a few decided to go in to shoot the gunman.
None of the officers have once manned up to the accountability and responsibility to what they failed to do — protect and defend — on that horrific day. Yet every day there is a news break about an innocent person being shot up to 20 to 30 times for holding a cellphone. The young man eating a burger at McDonald’s who was shot multiple times and is fighting for his life. The mother whose son was shot multiple times for reckless driving in Edinburg.
What’s done is done. I think all the officers who were in Uvalde that day should be fired. They have no business being police officers. They all were cowards!
