Letters: Culture change

After the mass shooting at Walmart in El Paso and the most recent Uvalde school massacre, we must ask ourselves if under the administration of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and current Republican legislators, has our Texas “gun culture” become a “killing culture”?

Genius

Trump

A quote by Jonathan Swift that is undoubtedly very fitting these days: “When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.”

This situation is very evident since the inception of the Trump presidency! Donald Trump (the true genius) seemingly appeared almost out of nowhere and the Democrats (the dunces) quickly piled on against him. They really despised his success with the “America first” mindset.

But as the months pass, we are seeing that Trump was right about a lot of things. He predicted that the Democrats’ spending policies would cause inflation to increase. He predicted that Joe Biden would flood/overwhelm the border with illegal immigration. He predicted Democrats would attempt to destroy our domestic oil and gas industry and that gas prices would go up significantly. He predicted they would try to get rid of our 2nd Amendment gun rights. He predicted that Biden and the Democrats would spend billions in foreign conflicts instead of using the money to protect Americans and likely push us into another war.

These days, our society has been dumbed down and indoctrinated so much, they (the dunces) assume that every critical thinker is a conspiracy theorist. Trump was right about a lot of things — and he warned you. What a genius we had.

Quotes

noted

Quotes by two of the most respected people in the World:

“Today, (June 24) the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues — attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.” — Barack Obama.

“I am heartbroken that we may now be destined to learn the painful lessons of a time before Roe was made law of the land — a time when women risked losing their lives getting abortions. A time when the government denied women control of their reproductive functions, forced them to move forward with pregnancies they didn’t want and then abandoned them once their babies were born. That is what our mothers and grandmothers and great-great grandmothers lived through, and now, here we are again.” — Michelle Obama.

Anti-abortion people mean well, but millions more believe they are wrong. A ban on abortions will not stop abortions. It will only make it harder and more dangerous for poor women to have them.

Whom will these people go after next? Our Creator? Will they demand that He completely eliminate miscarriages? That’s something I would really like to see.

Response

to letter

Mr. Jesus Rodriguez’s letter of June 26 believes we should educate children who are not U.S. citizens.

We’ve done it for centuries. It’s time for some cooperation from the open-borders instigators.

Some of these “non-profit” organizations have amassed net worth in the $29 million and up category. They incite and magnetize open borders, but expect Texas alone to pay for their expansion greed.
