Dunkin’ knew what was coming after dropping “Donuts” from its brand: breakfast tacos.

The popular coffee and baked goods chain introduced a new breakfast item to its menu Wednesday that’ll make it easier for customers to grab an egg taco with a Boston Kreme donut and an iced latte, not to be too specific or anything.

The chain said in a news release Wednesday to express the excitement about the new product.

“Get ready to taco ‘bout a delicious new breakfast at Dunkin’!” the release said.

Dunkin’ is debuting its first ever breakfast tacos starting today, March 22, just in time for Spring.

“Starting with a warm flour tortilla, the satisfying and flavorful tacos come in pairs and are made with scrambled eggs, melted sharp white cheddar cheese, fire-roasted corn, and a drizzle of tangy lime crema for a refreshing finish,” the release said. “The tacos can be ordered with or without crispy crumbled bacon topping for an additional flavor boost.”

According to the news release, the tacos are designed to be eaten while guests are on-the-go, served in a convenient Dunkin’ taco holder to keep all the premium flavors in place.

The coffee and baked goods chain was founded in 1950. In January 2019, the company underwent a rebrand and dropped the “Donuts” from its name to emphasize its hot regular/decaf/flavored coffee, iced regular/decaf/flavored coffee, donut, bagel, and muffin categories.

“Whether Dunkin’ fans are looking for a quick breakfast, a midday snack, or a satisfying evening bite, Breakfast Tacos at Dunkin’ are the ultimate in on-the-go deliciousness,” the release said.
