HARLINGEN — Visitors to the weekly Harlingen Farmer’s Market on Saturday got the chance to patronize some younger vendors than usual with the Kid’s Market event.

From 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. children could sell their goods to the public and grow their businesses shoulder-to-shoulder with the market’s adult vendors in the Harlingen City Hall parking lot on Tyler Avenue and 2nd Street.

These new vendors featured a variety of goods from fresh farm-raised eggs to items like handmade earrings and scrunchies. Some vendors even brought freshly made food and drinks like tacos, baked goods and teas for customers to enjoy as they walked around the event.
