A 71-year-old Brownsville man struck while riding his bicycle on Central Boulevard Saturday night has died from the injuries he received, police said.
Juan Lozano, who was riding a bicycle, was heading north on Central Boulevard, got into a lane of traffic and was struck by a vehicle, said Investigator Martin Sandoval, spokesman for Brownsville Police Department.
Sandoval said good Samaritans performed CPR on Lozano until EMS personnel arrived on the scene.
Lozano was transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, where he later died from his injuries.
Sandoval said no charges have been filed against the driver who struck Lozano and that police are reviewing surveillance video that captured the accident to see what caused it.
