Frank Boggus, businessman and longtime fixture in Harlingen, dies at 94

Frank N. Boggus, a pillar of the Harlingen community and a well-known Rio Grande Valley businessman, died peacefully early Saturday morning.

He was 94.

Boggus was the owner of Boggus Ford, which has locations in McAllen and Harlingen.

He is known for his philanthropic efforts in the community.

Four generations of Bogguses have worked at the dealership.

Boggus’ son, Bob, is the dealer principal at Boggus Ford in McAllen. His grandson, Jacob, is the general manager at Boggus Ford in Harlingen.

Funeral service arrangements with Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home are pending.
