New KFC to open in Alton on Tuesday

A new Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant is opening in Alton on Tuesday, and the first 50 customers will receive a “Free Chicken for a Year” gift card during a giveaway that day, the eatery said in a media release.

The grand opening will be held at 10:30 a.m., at 203 W. Main Ave., and will include a Colonel tie ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“KBP Brands’ passion for excellence, commitment to people and community-first philosophy is key to our long-term success and continued growth,” said Tonya Mangels, vice president of marketing activation, KBP Brands, in a media release. “We are excited to open another new KFC restaurant in Alton, Texas and also offer a new SMS program to attract and retain customers with ongoing added value.”

According to the release, KBP Brands is one of the largest franchisees in North America, operating over 1,000 Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell, and Arby’s restaurants across 31 states.
