‘Book of Mormon’ coming to McAllen in new season of Broadway shows

The Broadway megahit “The Book of Mormon” is coming to McAllen as part of Broadway in McAllen’s 2022-23 season.

A nine-time Tony Award-winning musical comedy, “The Book of Mormon” will close out the season on Jan. 9 at the McAllen Performing Arts Center.

Prior to that, the season will kick off with “Postmodern Jukebox’s A Very Postmodern Christmas” on Nov. 27. Postmodern Jukebox is a musical collective known for reworking popular modern songs into vintage genres.

A new Gloria and Emilio Estefan musical, “On Your Feet” will take the stage on Dec. 12 which will then be followed by “Illusionists Magic of the Holidays” on Dec. 17.

Then, the acrobatic performance of “Cirque Dreams Holidaze,” will take place on Dec. 22.

Starting Friday, current season ticket-holders are able to renew their season packages and lock in the seats they had last season, according to a news release.
