For all you coffee lovers looking to get a cup of coffee for free, your day has arrived.

Thursday is National Coffee Day, and several doughnut shops and other places will be providing a cup of coffee for free or for a discounted price to those who just must have their caffeine.

According to Matadornetwork.com, the average price for a cup of coffee in Texas is $2.52, so Thursday is the day to get it for free.

Krispy Kreme will be offering a free cup of coffee, while Shipley’s Donuts will give you a free medium cup of House blend coffee with any purchase. Dunkin’ Doughnuts will provide a free medium cup of coffee to those customers signed up to its reward program.

For those individuals seeking a small cup of free coffee, you can find them at McDonald’s.

If you love Starbucks coffee, you are out of luck. The company will not be participating in this year’s event, a representative told CNET.

According to the National Coffee Association, 7 in 10 Americans drink coffee every week, with 62% drinking coffee every day.

The average American coffee drinker drinks just over three cups per day.
