A cold front will be making its way through the Rio Grande Valley sometime Tuesday, and although it won’t bring any chilly temperatures, it will bring drier air making it feel less humid.

The daytime temperatures will be in the upper 80s to mid-90s, but the overnight lows will be in the upper to low 60s, according to the National Weather Service in Brownsville/Rio Grande Valley.

As the frontal passage makes its ways to the Valley, it will collide with sea breeze moisture that will lead to showers Monday night into early Tuesday morning. There’s a 20% to 30% chance for rain Tuesday.

“Amazing weather is anticipated during this period (Tuesday through Sunday) in the wake of the above-mentioned cold front… Daytime highs will run at near to ever-so-slightly above normal values. Meanwhile, overnight lows will run well below normal, with fall-like low temperatures in the 50s around sunrise Friday and Saturday not completely out of the question,” the NWS said in its forecast discussion.

The high temperatures Tuesday through Saturday will range anywhere from 88 to 95 degrees, with the overnight lows ranging anywhere from 68 to 59 degrees.

No rain is in the forecast Wednesday through Saturday.
