The McAllen Police Department is investigating an early Sunday morning single-vehicle crash that left a 38-year-old man dead.
Officer Olivia Lopez said in an email that the crash happened at approximately 5:59 a.m. near the 4600 block of West State Highway 107.
Both the driver and the passenger were transported to the hospital.
Luis Armandao Santana Valero, whose last known address is in Alton, died at the hospital.
Lopez did not identify the driver and said the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
