McAllen housekeeper accused of murder to be arraigned

Adriana Dominguez Aleman

A 41-year-old McAllen woman who is accused of choking a 71-year-old man to death is set to be arraigned Wednesday after being indicted.

Adriana Dominguez Aleman was charged with murder for the death of Homero Longoria, also of McAllen, earlier this year.

The charge stems from an incident that occurred at approximately 3:28 p.m. Jan. 28 at the man’s residence, located at 5908 N. 34th St. in McAllen.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Aleman thought Longoria was going to assault her after he allegedly grabbed her chest and pulled her shirt.

Police say Aleman claimed self defense, telling the officers that she “did what she had to do.”

The affidavit said Aleman knew Longoria because she had cleaned his house in the past and had been there for a couple of hours before the struggle occurred.

Longoria had invited Aleman to his residence to talk about a “sickness,” the affidavit said.

When authorities responded to the scene, police said they saw Aleman crying hysterically at the front door.

Aleman declined to speak to police without the presence of a lawyer, according to the affidavit.

She remains jailed on a $200,000 bond.
