Cameron County postpones 2nd dose vaccination clinic until Sunday

Cameron County health officials announced they have rescheduled and combined the second dose vaccination clinics until Sunday.

Because of the severe weather conditions, area residents who were vaccinated on Thursday, Jan. 21, and Friday, Jan. 22, at the Los Fresnos Fire Department will be vaccinated with the second dose of the Moderna Vaccine at the same location this Sunday, Feb. 21.

The mass vaccinations will be held between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. The vaccines have been reserved for this second dose clinic, so health officials remind residents there is no need to arrive early or camp out overnight.

You are reminded to bring your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, ID, and remain in your vehicle at all times.

Cameron County has partnered with Los Fresnos ISD, TSTC, and the UTHealth School of Public Health to administer the vaccines.
