The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at 12:33 a.m. Saturday west of Watson Road on Sotira Street in rural Palmview.
Sheriff J.E. “Eddie” Guerra said deputies discovered a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
“Victim was transported to a local hospital where life saving measures were unsuccessful. Suspected shooter in custody,” Guerra said on Twitter.
Authorities haven’t yet released more information.
