Man arrested as of result of tips to authorities

Jury selection is set for an Alamo man who was arrested in Aug. 2019 in connection with an armed-robbery at a San Juan Stripes convenience store, records show.

Court notes show Matthew William Mosher, 35, is scheduled for jury selection March 2, 2021 in connection with the Aug. 28, 2019 incident in which Mosher was caught on surveillance cameras using a weapon and threatening at least one employee at a Stripes convenience store in San Juan during a robbery.

According to published reports at the time of his arrest, Mosher was arrested after news tips led authorities to Mosher’s residence, where he was reportedly arrested “without” incident.

Mosher has been in federal custody since his October 9, 2019, when he made his initial federal court appearance on one count of “violent crime/drugs/machine gun, and one count of “interference with commerce by threat or violence,” records show.

According to state court records, in addition to the federal charges he faces, Mosher faces one first-degree felony of aggravated robbery in connection with the incident in Aug. 2019.
