The National Park Service reopened the Palo Alto Battlefield Tuesday to visitors with limited capacity and hours.

The park will open all roads, parking areas, restrooms, and outdoor facilities. NPS is immediately implementing a mask requirement for employees, visitors, partners and contractors.

The masks must be used in all park buildings and facilities, including the Visitor Center and restrooms. When social distancing isn’t possible, they will also be required on narrow or busy trails, overlooks, picnic areas, and parking lots.

The visitor center will only hold up to 15 people at a time and will be open as follows:

  • Sunday – Noon to 3 p.m.
  • Monday – Closed
  • Tuesday thru Saturday – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We are excited to finally open the doors of our Visitor Center to the public. The park staff has worked hard to ensure visitors will have a safe, enjoyable experience while also providing a safe working environment for employees, said park superintendent Oralia Fernandez.
