Brownsville police arrested a man accused of running naked around a neighborhood and asking a teenage girl to have sex with him.
The man was found hiding underneath a house, police said.
Santa Maria Refugio Perez, 31, is charged with one count of indecent exposure, indecency with a child, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.
The incident happened at the 2100 block of E. Tyler Street on Jan. 6, said Investigator Martin Sandoval, spokesman for Brownsville Police Department.
Sandoval said officers went to the location after receiving calls about a naked man running around the neighborhood. The callers said the man was hiding underneath a house on East Tyler Street.
Police found Perez hiding under the house, and he was completely naked, Sandoval said. As Perez was being arrested, one of the residents told police Perez had propositioned her 16-year-old daughter to have sex with him.
Perez was taken into custody and transported to the Brownsville City Jail. His bonds totaled $23,400.
