The McAllen Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that left one Edinburg woman dead Thursday morning.
McAllen police responded to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a gray truck near Monte Cristo and Ware roads about 7:15 a.m. Thursday.
The driver of the gray truck was identified as 31-year-old Norma Edith Celestino. She died at the scene, according to police.
A passenger in the same vehicle was transported to a hospital for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The driver of the tractor trailer remained at the scene.
Police said the collision remains under investigation.
