Cameron County officials address SOL Beach Fest

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND — This week, Cameron County officials addressed the SOL Beach Fest, an event that was held on Aug. 28 inside Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island.

According to a press release from Raul N. Garcia, county venues director of marketing and management, the event experienced unforeseen difficulties and was ultimately canceled.

“The Cameron County Amphitheater and Events Center is aware of the situation that transpired this past weekend at Isla Blanca Park in relation to the concert event featuring artist Myke Towers,” Garcia said. “We would like to take a moment to clarify that even though Cameron County’s Amphitheater is located inside Isla Blanca Park, we are not affiliated or in any way involved with this past weekend’s show.”

According to Garcia, Cameron County Amphitheater personnel take pride in the services that they provide, as well as the superior concert experience provided to their patrons.

“While it is unfortunate what transpired within Isla Blanca Park, we want to ensure our patrons and visitors that when they come to an event at the amphitheater, they will experience the best shows and quality programs at our facility,” Garcia said.

According to a press release from Cameron County Parks Director Joe E. Vega, the event was created by AARM Business Group, which is a third-party entity.

Vega added that Cameron County Parks has been in contact with the promoter of the event.

The press release states that any issues with ticket refunds, reimbursements or any other concerns should be directed to AARM Business Group at [email protected] or (956) 970-4684.
