Cameron County giving out wristbands for vaccine clinic

Cameron County health officials will hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic beginning at 7 a.m., Thursday, March 25, at the Los Fresnos Fire Department at 100 Rodeo Drive.

The vouchers for the clinic will be handed out beginning today and Wednesday at the county warehouse facilities at the following locations:

Today, March 23 at 5 p.m.
Precinct 2 Warehouse, 7092 Old Alice Road, Brownsville

Wednesday, March 24 at 8 a.m.
Precinct 1 Warehouse, 2050 S. Browne Road, Brownsville
Precinct 3 Warehouse, 26945 FM 510, San Benito
Precinct 4 Warehouse, 26623 White Ranch Road, La Feria

The clinic will be held on Thursday for Phase 1A qualifiers which are residents 65 and older, Phase 1B persons 18 and older with a chronic health condition, and Phase 1C includes residents 50 and older.

The county said it will also allocate COVID-19 vaccines for doctor’s offices, pharmacies and cities.
