Police looking for suspect in multiple robberies

McALLEN- Authorities are looking for a man responsible for at least three robberies since Friday in this city.

Th52d41743113ed.imagee first robbery was Friday at 9”15 p.m. at an Azizz convenience store on the corner of 29th and U.S.83 where a man later identified as Luis Humberto Olivo displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier, said police chief Victor Rodriguez.

The second robbery took place Saturday at 11:18 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 800 block of Walnut Avenue where Olivo robbed a couple at gunpoint. One of the victims claimed that Olivo got off a Chevrolet Suburban, pointed the weapon at them and took some money

The third robbery was just ten minutes later at a Stripes convenience store on the corner of Pecan and 10th Street where apparently Olivo once again held up a convenience store and made off with some money, Rodriguez said.

Police investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for 27-year-old Olivo a man who is wanted for similar crimes in San Antonio and Dallas and may be trying to hide in South Texas, Rodriguez said.

According to a McAllen Police news release Olivo doesn’t have an address in McAllen but has family in Dallas and San Antonio. He also has a tattoo with the word “D-Town” on his right hand.

“We are out there looking to bring this man into custody,” the chief said.
